THE CHALLENGE

Kulta Katriina, one of Finland’s most beloved coffee brands since 1937, wanted to expand its offer with a functional coffee range — one that speaks to today’s younger, more curious coffee lovers, while covering more daily consumption moments. The goal was to stand out in a saturated market, where traditional coffee codes dominate, by creating a new range that feels modern, expressive, and emotionally resonant.

THE SOLUTION

True to its “Enjoy Every Moment” positioning, Kulta Katriina introduced Boost, with 30% more caffeine, and Relax, a smooth decaf for winding down. We created a third variant, Smooth, made with a specific roast designed to lower acidity and aid digestion — perfect for day or night enjoyment. Under the brand essence “Brewing Meaningful Moments,” we developed a graphic universe that reflects the feeling behind each blend: a bright orange morning scene for Boost, a calm bluish evening for Relax, and soft neutral tones for Smooth, designed to evoke balance and ease. Kulta Katriina’s black signature and icons (moon and energy cup) endorse the range with elegance and clarity. A visually expressive family that turns every cup into a curated experience.
